I spent most of my twenties completely unbothered by health, while my Dad, a bodybuilder, kept nudging me toward it. I wasn't interested. But with him in my corner, I felt unstoppable.
Then he died suddenly when I was 30, and everything fell apart. Not just my health, but my sense of who I was.
What followed was years of trying to put myself back together. Chronic inflammation, mystery health issues, and 10 kilos I couldn't shift no matter what I tried. Kilos that made me feel self-conscious in a way I never had before. I'd gone as far as travelling to Costa Rica in 2018 to study raw food nutrition. Still my body held on. Doing everything "right" and getting nowhere.
Until something finally shifted.
I started training for a bodybuilding competition. Got lean, got strong, and for a moment felt like I'd finally cracked it. But pushing my body that far came at a cost I hadn't anticipated. My mood darkened. My mind shifted. The person in pursuit of that stage was someone I didn't recognise.


I never stepped on stage. So I stopped, stepped back, and started again. This time without the extremes.
The confidence I'd lost when my Dad died began to resurface. Not by pushing harder, but through finally understanding my own body.
Strong, lean, and clear on who I was again. That version of myself launched my first business and didn't look back.
That experience, backed by formal study in health science, became the foundation for True Nature Nutrition. Because true nature isn't a programme or a meal plan. It's the version of you that's strong, confident, and completely at home in your own skin. It's love, for your body, for yourself, for the life you're building.
I work with women to build lean, strong bodies, but the real work is building a self image that gets to keep that version of them. Not a transformation they fall out of. A new identity they grow into.
